Our Why
For over a year, we wrestled with a question: What does cheerful giving actually look like?
Not reluctant charity. Not guilt-driven donation. Not obligation. But the kind of joyful, intentional generosity that 2 Corinthians 9:7 celebrates: "Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."
The question wouldn't leave us alone. Through 2024 and into 2025, it kept surfacing in prayer, in conversations, in quiet moments of gratitude for what God had entrusted to us—while knowing families around us were wondering how to put food on the table.
In January 2026, we stopped wrestling and started acting.
That question finally found its answer: The 2KR Initiative.
What We Do
We intentionally keep it simple.
One Family Monthly
Not scattered giving, but focused blessing
Practical Provision
R3,000 in food, toiletries, and electricity tailored to genuine need
Personal Delivery
With prayer, encouragement, and dignity
Full Transparency
Every rand accounted for, every blessing documented—without exploiting stories
We don't photograph recipients. We don't exploit their stories for fundraising. We protect their privacy and honour their dignity.
What we do share: anonymized impact stories that celebrate what God does when cheerful hearts meet genuine needs.
Impact In Action
A glimpse of the R3,000 monthly provision delivered to families—dignity and provision in every box.

What We're Learning
Mothers Are Warriors
The women we’ve encountered aren’t waiting for handouts—they’re fighting daily battles with courage most of us will never need. Our blessings don’t rescue them; they honour their resilience and give them breathing room to keep fighting.
Small Provision Creates Massive Relief
R3,000 doesn’t solve poverty. But it does mean a mother sleeps better knowing her children will eat this month. It means electricity for cooking and homework. It means one less impossible choice.
Cheerful Giving Transforms the Giver
Every month, as we select a family, source their needs, and deliver with prayer—we experience the joy that 2 Corinthians 9:7 promises. We’re not burdened. We’re blessed.
Dignity Matters More Than Scale
We could feed more people if we set up a distribution line. But we’d lose the personal touch, the prayer, the relationship. We’ve chosen intimacy over volume—and we’re convinced that’s the right call.
Mission & Vision
The 2KR Initiative exists to transform Cape Town families through cheerful generosity—one household, one month at a time.
What if Cape Town's Christian business community became known not for how much we accumulate, but for how joyfully we give?
What if monthly family blessings became the norm among faith-driven businesses?
What if generosity wasn't a burden, but a joy—something we decided in our hearts, not reluctantly or under compulsion?
That's the movement we're building.
The Heartbeat
We showed up.
Every month, one Cape Town family receives R3,000 in provision—R2,500 in food and groceries, R500 in electricity. Consistency builds trust. Trust builds hope. Hope transforms lives.
Three months ago, we blessed a few children with school stationery. Today, we’ve provided over R9,000 in provision to families led by courageous mothers who refuse to give up. Tomorrow, we’ll select another family—another mother fighting the good fight, another household where R3,000 creates breathing room and hope.

Who We Are
"I'm not running an NGO. I'm just someone who decided to do something—and kept doing it.
The 2KR Initiative started in January 2026 because I wrestled with what cheerful giving actually looks like in practice. I run 2KR IT Solutions, an MSP business in Cape Town, and I realized we had enough to bless one family each month.
The 2KR Initiative is 100% funded by 2KR IT Solutions, a Cape Town-based managed service provider. This means every blessing comes from business success, not donor dependency. Administrative costs—banking fees, website hosting, delivery fuel, materials—are covered separately by the business, ensuring every rand goes directly to families.
Faith & Values
We don't do this for recognition. We do this because it's right.
1. Dignity First
Every person deserves to be seen, not pitied. We honour the fight, not the struggle.
2. Rooted in Faith
This is worship expressed through action. Biblical generosity in practice, not in theory.
3. Quietly Consistent
Not loud. Not flashy. Just faithful. Every month. Every family. Every time.
4. Personal Touch
We deliver with prayer, encouragement, and relationship—not distribution lines and transaction receipts.
5. Full Transparency
We protect privacy, but we share impact. Anonymized stories that celebrate transformation without exploitation.
How It Works
Family Identification
Families are identified through three pathways:
- Community connections
- Church nominations
- Awareness of genuine hardship
No forms. No hoops. No proving poverty.
Provision Preparation
We source R3,000 in practical provision:
- R2,500 in food & toiletries
- R500 in pre-paid electricity
- Prayer and encouragement
Personal Delivery
Our team personally delivers the provision—not as a handout, but as an act of honour. We pray with the family, encourage them, and remind them they're seen and valued.
Impact Documentation
We share anonymized impact stories that celebrate what God does when cheerful hearts meet genuine needs. No photos of recipients. No exploitation. Just hope.
